patients.app is an AI startup in healthcare
We tackle meaningful problems in clinical medicine—like screening patients before surgery, supporting transplant access, and powering a range of specialist workflows. We're helping clinicians deliver care with precision, safety, and speed by transforming how medical data is accessed, understood and acted upon.
We are a small and highly talented team who have built several billion dollar companies and worked at the forefront of AI, Robotics and Healthcare. Our backers are leading clinicians, founders and investors. You’ll join us at a time when we are booked out with new clients and your work will directly shape the product, the team, and the company’s future.
What You’ll Do
- Design and build end-to-end product features across the stack, from responsive front-ends to robust back-end systems
- Collaborate with clinical users and the product team to deeply understand real-world workflows and translate them into elegant product experiences
- Develop and maintain APIs, services, and infrastructure that support secure and performant access to healthcare data
- Contribute to core architectural decisions as we scale from early-stage product to widespread deployment across diverse client settings
- Work alongside AI engineers to integrate intelligent features into the product in intuitive, usable ways
- Continuously refine and improve our development practices—from CI/CD to observability and testing
You Should Apply If You:
- Have 3–6+ years of experience as a software engineer, ideally at a startup or in a high-ownership environment.
- Have shipped systems that scale—from a handful of users to widespread adoption.
- Are comfortable across the stack: backend frameworks (e.g., Node.js, Django, FastAPI), frontend libraries (e.g., React, Vue), and modern APIs
- Are comfortable with with modern data pipelines, and cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Have experience with relational and/or document databases, and cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Prioritize UX and have an eye for clean, functional design—even if you're not a designer
